As an exciting side-event at the much anticipated CPH:DOX Film Festival in Copenhagen in November, a discussion forum titled DOX:MOSAIC is being organised to foster a stronger dialogue between Middle Eastern and European counterparts and to offer Danish, Nordic and Middle Eastern producers an insight into each other's world.
The event will take place 9 November and is organised by CPH:DOX, International Media Support (IMS) and Danish Broadcasting Cooperation (DR).
The day will begin with a short introductory session by Middle Eastern and European broadcasters about their specific needs and what they look for when selecting documentary film for TV broadcasting - followed by individual project presentations. The seminar will include discussions on the impact of documentary film in Europe and the Middle East. The day will end with a pitching session closed to the public on selected projects from the invited submissions.
We are looking for projects that will open our eyes to new worlds and challenge conformity of the region's viewpoints. The application process requires a synopsis of max 1200 characters, a production budget and a trailer. There is no entry fee for submissions. Send your project to jasmin[snabela]cphdox.dk.
DOX:MOSAIC is open to submissions until 11 October 2010.
We look forward to welcoming TV broadcasters and professionals, filmmakers and producers to this exciting international co-production event.
