On Friday 18 February 2011, thousands of Egyptians took to the streets to partake in a planned victory march through the streets in Cairo to the renowned Tahrir Square to celebrate the uprising that led to President Mubarak's fall a week earlier.
The organisers named it 'the Friday of Victory and continuation' to celebrate both the 18-day revolte that led to the change in leadership while at the same time voicing their concern over the future.
In Cairo on during the days of celebration, IMS staff member Rasmus Steen joined the rally to capture the joy of celebrating the historic moment.
