Scoop, a programme for investigative journalists in Eastern and Southeastern Europe is getting ready to expand its activities to cover support for investigative journalism in Russia. SCOOP is run by IMS and the Danish Association of Investigative Journalists (FUJ).
- This is fantastic, says Henrik Kaufholz, who has been with Scoop since January 2003 and is also the coordinator of Scoop Caucasus.
- For some years we have been looking for funding to support investigative reporters in Russia. Now we are able to both train them and support them during their research.
The funding will cover activities in the Northwestern part of the Russian Federation, but Scoop also has its own funding for some activities in other regions in the European part of Russia.
The new programme will be implemented by International Media Support, Fojo Media Institute (Sweden), Danish Association of Investigative Journalism (FUJ) and the Swedish Association of Investigative Journalists (FGJ).
The journalistic coordinators of “Scoop Russia” will be Kajsa Norell (kajsa.norell[snabela]gmail.com ) from FGJ and Henrik Kaufholz (henrik.kaufholz[snabela]pol.dk) from FUJ.
The detailed planning of the activities is not yet ready, but for further information please contact the coordinators above or visit Scoop's website: www.i-scoop.org.
