Participants applaud IMS conference 2008 for its innovative set up and eye-opening content

IMS decided to test a new conference set up for the IMS conference on ICTs and networkwed communications environments: Opportunities and threats for press freedom and democratization" held 15-16 September 2008 in Copenhagen.

During the first day of the conference, a number of new communications technologies were presented in an EXPO followed by an afternoon, where the participants were asked to take active part in testing the new technologies. The shared experiences fed into the second day of panel discussions on the new opportunities and challenges offered to media and civil society by the new modes of communiation.

The participants widely applauded both set up as well as the outcome of the conference. IMS interviewed a number of the participants over the course of the two-day conference to get their personal feedback on the set up and the content of the conference.
