Vacancy: Programme Assistant for Media and Conflict Unit

International Media Support is seeking a Programme Assistant for our Media and Conflict Unit

International Media Support (IMS) is seeking a Programme Assistant to support the programmatic, financial and administrative aspects of its media support activities in countries affected by conflict.

Main tasks:

-Assistance with strategy development and overall programme coordination
-Assistance with implementation of project activities, including travel to target countries
-Oversight of budgets and responsibility for financial activities
-Preparation of programmatic documentation, including contracts, payments requests and budgets.
-Assistance in organisation of special events, conferences, group visits, etc.

Competencies, skills and experience:

- Interest and experience in working with media support and development aid
- Interest and experience in working in countries affected by conflict.
- Knowledge of project implementation, administration and financial control.
- Experience in administration/ budgetary programmes and software, including the Windows Office Package.

Relevant educational background:

- Fluency in English. French and/or Spanish an asset.
