International Media Support (IMS) is an international NGO based in Copenhagen. IMS works with media worldwide to promote conflict resolution, democratisation and dialogue.

IMS announces the following openings for the following positions in the Media & Dialogue Unit:
He or She will be responsible for managing and developing professional partnerships between media and journalists in Denmark and the Middle East/North Africa.
The applicant should have:
-Relevant educational background (Mid-East Studies, Political Science, Journalism, Communication, Sociology, Anthropology, etc)
- At least 5 years experience in international development cooperation
- Knowledge of the Danish and Arab media an asset
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Arabic and/or French an asset
The Programme Officer will have approximately 40-60 days of travel a year.
He or she will support the financial and administrative aspects of an international media cooperation programme.
The applicant should have:
- Relevant educational back-ground
- Interest in the Middle East/North Africa region an asset
- Experience with administrative and financial support (flair for budgets, accounting and and reporting)
- Knowledge of project administration tools
- Experienced user of programmes and software incl. the Windows Office Package (particularly Excel)
- Fluency in English. Arabic and French an asset
She or he will help establish professional partnerships between media and journalists from the Arab World/Iran and Denmark.
The applicant should have:
- Strong networks in the media in Denmark and the Middle East
- Experience with "new media" outlets and/or film media an asset
- Ability to undertake practical preparation and implementation of activities
- Knowledge of the Middle East
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Arabic and/or French
