Media & Democracy

Within the media and democracy thematic area, IMS aims to promote the role of the media as the "fourth estate". In this context, the media is seen as intrinsic in building democracy in countries that are undergoing political reformation and transition. Programme activities are currently carried out in Eastern Europe and Caucasus as well as Central Asia.
