Conflict Sensitive Journalism, Rwanda special edition handbook, 2008
The Rwanda Special Edition of the handbook in conflict sensitive journalism, is produced against the backdrop of the legacy of Radio-Télévision Libres des Milles Collines (RTLM) in Rwanda and the use of the media as a weapon during the 1994 genocide. While this legacy continues to haunt the country and its media today, it also serves as a potent illustration and reminder of the power the media wield. This handbook provides theoretic chapters about conflict sensitive journalism, and country specific examples to illustrate the main principles with localized examples. This handbook is published with support from UNESCO.
