This booklet provides an insight into the experiences of the Kenyan journalists who covered the post-election violence that hit Kenya in early 2008 following the parliamentary election. The personal accounts in "Healing the messenger" were compiled following an initiative launched in March 2008 to provide counseling for reporters who had witnessed the violent events when performing their duty to report from the scenes of crime.
