Mass media often plays a key role in today's conflicts. Which role the media takes in a given conflict, and in the phases before and after, depends on a complex set of factors. This report sets out to distill the IMS experience in supporting media in conflict, by bringing together the collective wisdom of those in the international community who have been working to support the media in conflict.
